Swingers & sexual misfits and the end of monotonous-monogamy

So I have these friends who are swingers. ”J” likes to watch his girlfriend “R” have sex with other guys. He is not gay and he said that he never “crosses swords” when he jumps in to the fray.
I have a girlfriend of mine ”B” who lives in the midwest. ”B’ likes a little light spanking. She likes to be tied up.
So here’s the question. Are these friends more advanced than the rest of us? Do they feel so comfortable that they trust people and allow people to do things to and with them and their partners?
Do they have a better time being “sexually exploratory”? Do they have more fun than people who are married for a long time who always seem to be bored and never have sex (or little)?
I am thinking that they are much more interesting and maybe we were not meant for monotony of monogamy. And while they love their partners, they do have these “rules” of how they do things. Believe me when I tell you that the rules might shock you into laughter, I also wonder if their being a little naughty as being the best of both worlds in some respects.
Thoughts?
I have no idea … but man, I just admire free lovin’ folks like that! I think we all would want to be a little naughty, but mostly naughty with the ones we’re really into … but most of us aren’t .. we live in a freak show!
