There is the dirty little secret in the world of nicotene addiction. And that is that nicotene gum is addictive. People I know have been chewing for years. They buy it in bulk from places like Mexico, and chew as many as a hundred pieces a week.

There needs to be a way to get people from this addiction. It is a tough thing to do because nicotene in general is very addictive. Personally if you are going to take nicotene, it is better chewed than smoked. But someone should expose this issue, because nobody is talking about it. Are people getting mouth cancer from nicotene gum?? This product’s long-term effects should be monitored. And now that it is over-the-counter, perhaps it should be studied further for its abuse/misuse potential.
